# Appendix: Forty-Lesson Map

This map assumes a school-year rhythm with pauses for holidays, retreats, pastoral conversations, or review. A fifty-two-lesson edition can expand each major section with more Scripture practice and doctrine review.

- Lessons | Section | Formation Aim
- 1--3 | Reality, God, and creation | Receive the world as God's gift rather than self-invented truth.
- 4--6 | Humanity, heart, and image | See the whole person before God: body, heart, worship, responsibility, and limits.
- 7--9 | Sin, deception, and death | Name the whole problem: guilt, wound, false worship, and broken communion.
- 10--13 | Israel and covenant | Learn promise, law, wisdom, worship, prophecy, exile, and hope as one story.
- 14--17 | Jesus Christ | Confess the incarnate Son as Messiah, true human, Lord, servant, and center.
- 18--21 | Cross and resurrection | Receive forgiveness, victory, reconciliation, justification, and bodily hope.
- 22--25 | Salvation and Holy Spirit | Receive grace-given participation in Christ: forgiveness, justification, reconciliation, new birth, adoption, holiness, gifts, fruit, and communion.
- 26--29 | Scripture, Church, and sacraments | Receive the Word in Christ and the Church as body, household, temple, mission, baptism, and table.
- 30--32 | Prayer and practice | Practice prayer, confession, obedience, generosity, Sabbath, witness, failure, and return.
- 33--36 | Suffering, repentance, and repair | Lament honestly, repent concretely, forgive truthfully, honor the vulnerable.
- 37--40 | Judgment, resurrection, and new creation | Live now under Christ's return, final justice, resurrection, and communion with God.
