# DDF Gap Research Tracker

**Record class:** completed V1 coverage audit

**Current state:** all recorded slices reached `verified`. This file preserves
the scope, evidence, and disposition of that completed construction pass; it is
not a live backlog. New downstream coverage needs use
`docs/research/ddf-coverage-process.md` and its durable log.

Purpose: persistent audit file for the DDF gap-expansion project. Each gap is researched one by one, then integrated into `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` only when it adds a real DDF contribution rather than decorative coverage.

## Integration Standard

Each gap must pass these checks before being marked complete:

1. Research contact: at least two strong sources where available, prioritizing primary/official sources, peer-reviewed literature, original biblical-language tools, early Christian sources, or major scholarly references.
2. DDF contribution: one clear statement of what this domain adds to DDF that was not already explicit.
3. Biblical control: where relevant, original Hebrew/Greek terms or canonical structures must be named accurately.
4. Rival pressure: one rival or distortion must be named so DDF does not absorb the topic uncritically.
5. Integration: `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` must be improved in the body, source architecture, Claim Register, or a dedicated research ledger.
6. Verification: LaTeX must compile after a completed slice.

Status key:

- `queued`: not yet researched in this deeper pass.
- `researched`: sources gathered and evaluated.
- `integrated`: `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` changed.
- `verified`: compile/check completed after integration.

## Slice Log

### C01 Bible-First Moral Sentiment Control

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Biblical pattern: Saul sparing Agag (1 Sam 15), Ahab sparing Ben-Hadad (1 Kgs 20), Eli restraining corrupt sons too lightly (1 Sam 2-4), Israel tolerating forbidden covenantal compromises (Judg 2), Corinth tolerating sexual immorality (1 Cor 5), and false prophets declaring peace without truth (Jer 6; Ezek 13).
- Original-language control: Hebrew `hesed`, `rachamim`, `emet`, `mishpat`, `tsedaqah`; Greek `agape`, `eleos`, `aletheia`, `dikaiosyne`, `krisis`.
- Moral control: mercy is not mere social kindness. Mercy is compassion aligned with God's order, aimed at repentance, justice, protection, and restored communion.
- Empirical controls: Cochrane on single-session psychological debriefing; family-accommodation meta-analyses in OCD/anxiety; CDC opioid prescribing guidance; WHO antimicrobial-resistance resources; CDC HIV surveillance and ICD-11 compulsive sexual behavior; Cass Review/NICE-linked evidence reviews on youth gender medicine; Stanford rent-control evidence; IMF/World Bank energy-subsidy and price-control work; Sri Lanka fertilizer-ban/food-security analyses.

What this adds to DDF:

Human moral sentiment can be kind, forgiving, affirming, and socially calming while still creating long-term misalignment. DDF now explicitly distinguishes biblical mercy from sentimentality, conflict avoidance, social peace, and compassion that contradicts God's revealed order or suppresses real diagnostic signals in creation.

Integration:

Added a cross-cutting subsection under `\section{Truth, Coherence, and Protection}`, added empirical false-mercy case controls, expanded the source apparatus, and added Claim 40A, `Human Moral Sentiment Is Not Truth`.

### R01 Economics, Money, Labor, Markets, Debt, Poverty, Property, Inequality

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- World Bank `Poverty, Prosperity, and Planet Report 2024`: poverty, shared prosperity, inequality, jobs, services, and climate risk belong together.
- ILO decent work: labor must be evaluated through fair income, security, social protection, rights, voice, and equal treatment, not output alone.
- WHO social determinants: power, money, resources, living conditions, and work shape health and agency.
- Ostrom: shared goods can be governed through participatory institutional design, so DDF should not accept a simple market/state binary.
- Acemoglu, Johnson, and Robinson/NBER: institutions and property-rights structures shape long-run development and whether wealth systems become inclusive or extractive.
- Biblical control: Deuteronomy 15, Leviticus 25, Amos, Micah, Luke 4, Luke 12, Acts 2-4, James 5; Hebrew `shemittah`, `deror`, `ge'ullah`, `nachalah`.

What this adds to DDF:

Economics is not just exchange or policy. It is an allocation grammar for embodied mediation. It tells DDF how trust, labor, time, debt, land, inherited possibility, and common goods become durable social reality.

Rival pressure:

Reject market absolutism, state absolutism, anti-market romanticism, prosperity-gospel wealth theology, poverty moralism, and technocratic poverty management that ignores power.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Economics, Money, Labor, Markets, Debt, and Poverty}` with institutional ecology, commons governance, property, and Hebrew covenant-economic terms.

### R02 Politics, Law, Rights, Courts, Policing, State Power, Citizenship, Corruption, Legitimacy

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- United Nations rule-of-law definition: all persons, institutions, and the state itself accountable to public, equal, independently adjudicated laws consistent with human-rights norms.
- World Justice Project: rule of law as laws, institutions, norms, and community commitment; factors include constraints on government power, corruption control, open government, fundamental rights, order/security, regulatory enforcement, civil justice, and criminal justice.
- OECD trust research: reliability, responsiveness, integrity, openness, and fairness are public-trust drivers.
- UN/UNODC corruption resources: corruption erodes institutions, legitimacy, transparency, fair lawmaking, enforcement, adjudication, development, and rule of law.
- Biblical control: Deut 16-17; 1 Sam 8; 2 Sam 11-12; Ps 72; Isa 1; Rom 13; Rev 13; Hebrew `mishpat`, `tsedaqah`, `shaphat`, `ed`; Greek `diakonos`, `ekdikos`.

What this adds to DDF:

Politics and law are not just leadership or order. They are public mediation of truth, force, rights, memory, remedies, and accountability.

Rival pressure:

Reject authoritarian order, legality without justice, rights without duties, religious nationalism, anti-institutional cynicism, and public authority that refuses review.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Politics, Law, Courts, Policing, and Public Legitimacy}` with law as public truth-system, corruption as semantic corruption, WJP operational pressure points, OECD trust drivers, and Hebrew/Greek justice terms.

### R03 War, Peace, Violence, National Security, Refugees, Migration, Disaster, Resilience

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- ICRC/Geneva Conventions: IHL limits the effects of armed conflict and protects civilians, medical and aid workers, prisoners, wounded, sick, and shipwrecked persons.
- UNDRR Sendai Framework: understand disaster risk; strengthen disaster-risk governance; invest in resilience; enhance preparedness and build back better.
- UNHCR Global Trends: forced displacement must be read through conflict, persecution, return conditions, funding, protection, and legal status.
- IOM World Migration Report: migration is a structured human-mobility reality involving data, corridors, remittances, displacement, policy, inequality, and social systems.
- Biblical control: Exodus; Deut on `ger`; Psalms of refuge; Isa 2; Matt 2; Matt 5; Rom 12; Hebrew `shalom`, `miqlat`, `ger`; Greek `eirene`, `philoxenia`, `hypomone`.

What this adds to DDF:

Crisis reveals whether mediation systems preserve dignity when they are stressed. War and disaster are not isolated events but cascade failures or cascade protections across bodies, homes, records, infrastructure, law, memory, and worship.

Rival pressure:

Reject realpolitik that erases civilians, security rhetoric that dehumanizes migrants, disaster fatalism, technocratic resilience without justice, and peace language without repair.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{War, Peace, Disaster, Refugees, Migration, and Resilience}` with cascade-event logic, IHL restraint, Sendai prevention grammar, displacement as loss of ordinary mediation, and biblical peace/refuge/hospitality terms.

### R05 Housing, Urban Life, Transport, Civic Participation, Public Trust, Work-Life Balance

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- OECD Well-being Framework/Data Monitor: well-being must be read beyond GDP through housing, work and job quality, health, knowledge and skills, environmental quality, safety, social connections, civic engagement, work-life balance, and future economic/natural/human/social resources.
- WHO urban health: urbanization shapes health through housing, transport, sanitation, waste, air quality, noise, heat islands, walking/cycling space, food systems, violence, injuries, and emergency preparedness.
- UN-Habitat World Cities Report 2024: cities concentrate climate risk and climate-action opportunity; resilient infrastructure, service provision, affordable housing, employment, poverty reduction, and locally led planning belong together.
- UN-Habitat/OHCHR adequate-housing criteria: tenure, services/infrastructure, affordability, habitability, accessibility, location, and cultural adequacy.
- Biblical control: Babel, city gates and justice, Jeremiah 29, New Jerusalem; Hebrew `bayit`, `ir`, `sha'ar`, `derekh`; Greek `oikos`, `polis`, `politeuma`.

What this adds to DDF:

The built environment is not neutral scenery. It is durable mediation for rest, access, household stability, public justice, ecological exposure, neighbor recognition, and civic repair.

Rival pressure:

Reject infrastructure neutrality, real-estate-only housing logic, anti-city romanticism, urban utopianism, and individual-responsibility accounts that ignore place.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Housing, Urban Life, Transport, Work-Life Balance, and Civic Participation}` and updated Claim 47 with housing adequacy, climate exposure, tenure, access, and biblical place language.

### R06 Race, Ethnicity, Nationhood, Migration, Colonial History, Reconciliation

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- National Academies population-descriptor report: race, ethnicity, ancestry, geography, and indigeneity require deliberate use; racial labels are sociopolitical and should not be treated as precise genetic proxies.
- CERD: racial discrimination includes distinctions, exclusions, restrictions, preferences, and unjustifiable disparate impact based on race, colour, descent, or national/ethnic origin.
- UNDRIP: Indigenous rights require attention to self-determination, land, resources, culture, language, participation, and protection from forced assimilation.
- UNESCO race/racial-prejudice resources: education, communication, science, and culture must teach human unity and diversity while resisting stereotypes and inherited prejudice.
- OHCHR transitional-justice work: truth, justice, reparations, guarantees of non-recurrence, and memory are a package, not optional pieces.
- Biblical control: Genesis 10-12, Ruth, Isaiah 56, Jonah, Acts 2, Acts 10, Ephesians 2, Revelation 7; Hebrew `goyim`, `am`, `ger`, `mishpachah`; Greek `ethne`, `laos`, `phyle`, `glossa`.

What this adds to DDF:

Identity systems are real mediated histories, not biological essences and not imaginary labels. DDF can hold shared humanity, creaturely difference, historical injury, land, language, law, and worship together.

Rival pressure:

Reject biological racism, colorblind amnesia, ethnic absolutism, nationalism as final identity, guilt politics without repair, and universalism that erases peoples.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Race, Ethnicity, Nationhood, Colonial Memory, and Reconciliation}` and updated Claim 48 with genetics, human-rights, transitional-justice, and biblical people-language controls.

### R07 Art, Music, Literature, Play, Leisure, Sport, Imagination

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- UNESCO culture and sustainable-development work: culture is a cross-cutting public dimension tied to poverty reduction, jobs, education, social justice, environmental sustainability, and human dignity.
- WHO physical activity: walking, cycling, wheeling, sport, active recreation, play, work, and domestic movement all shape health, quality of life, and well-being.
- American Academy of Pediatrics play report: play builds social-emotional, cognitive, language, self-regulation, executive-function, prosocial, and relational capacities.
- Neuroaesthetics research: aesthetic experience engages sensory-motor systems, emotion/valuation systems, and meaning-knowledge systems.
- Biblical control: Bezalel, Psalms, Song of Songs, prophetic sign-acts, parables, athletic metaphors, Revelation imagery; Hebrew `shir`, `zimrah`, `mashal`, `chokmah`, `machol`; Greek `psalmos`, `hymnos`, `ode`, `parabole`, `agon`.

What this adds to DDF:

Art and play are not decorative extras. They are embodied training systems for perception, desire, memory, joy, protest, worship, and hope.

Rival pressure:

Reject art-as-decoration, art-as-salvation, sport idolatry, propaganda aesthetics, consumer entertainment, and anti-play utilitarianism.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Art, Music, Literature, Play, Leisure, Sport, and Imagination}` and updated Claim 49 with play development, physical activity, neuroaesthetics, and biblical aesthetic vocabulary.

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Bible-first controls: Genesis 1-2, Leviticus 18/20, Song of Songs, Matthew 5/19, Mark 10, Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 6-7, 1 Timothy 1, Ephesians 5; Hebrew `zakar`, `neqevah`, `mishkevei ishah`, `basar`, `yada`; Greek `soma`, `sarx`, `physis`, `chresis`, `porneia`, `malakoi`, `arsenokoitai`, `gamos`, `enkrateia`, `hagiasmos`.
- Creation/covenant grammar: Scripture treats sex as ordered to one-flesh male-female covenant, bodily gift, kinship, procreative openness, holiness, and union under God.
- Same-sex erotic practice: Leviticus, Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 6, and 1 Timothy 1 place same-sex sexual acts outside that created/covenantal order. DDF must not turn that moral judgment into contempt for people who experience same-sex attraction.
- WHO sexual and reproductive health: contraception, fertility/infertility care, maternal/perinatal health, STI prevention/treatment, protection from sexual and gender-based violence, and education on safe and healthy relationships belong to one field.
- WHO infertility: infertility is a reproductive-system disease with major access and affordability issues; ART has produced millions of births but remains unevenly available.
- WHO gender/sexual health and ICD-11 gender incongruence materials: sex, gender, gender identity, and sexual health require careful terms; gender incongruence is in sexual-health conditions rather than mental disorders.
- ASRM ethics opinions: ART requires informed consent, donor/recipient/child interests, disclosure, embryo disposition, compensation, conflicts of interest, and third-party responsibilities.
- ICD-11 compulsive sexual behaviour disorder: impaired control and functional impairment need clinical language; moral distress alone is not the diagnostic category.
- CDC sexual-minority health-disparity materials: empirical data helps identify harassment, discrimination, violence, stressful social conditions, mental-health risks, and care/protection needs; it does not set DDF's moral center.

What this adds to DDF:

Sexuality is not appetite alone. It joins body, history, covenant, consent, kinship, procreation, grief, technology, commerce, shame, holiness, and resurrection hope under biblical creation/covenant grammar.

Rival pressure:

Reject identity absolutism, body denial, shame-based control, pornographic commodification, technocratic reproduction, fertility idolatry, medical consumerism, and culture-war reduction.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Sexuality, Gender, Fertility, Reproductive Technology, Pornography, and Body Identity}` and updated Claim 50 with Bible-first sexual ethics, same-sex practice language, clinical, ART, body-identity, empirical-harm, and original-language controls.

### R09 Food, Agriculture, Supply Chains, Famine, Land Use, Animal Flourishing

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- FAO/CFS food-security dimensions: availability, access, utilization, stability, with agency and sustainability strengthening the operational frame.
- FAO SOFI reports: hunger, food insecurity, malnutrition, healthy-diet affordability, and food-price inflation belong together.
- IPC famine classification: famine joins extreme food lack, starvation/destitution, critical acute malnutrition, and death.
- FAO animal production and health: animal genetics, husbandry, nutrition, welfare, disease, antimicrobial resistance, pastoralism, and agroecology are linked.
- Biblical control: Genesis 1-2/9, Leviticus 19/25, Ruth, Psalm 104, Proverbs 12:10, Matthew 6, Luke 14, 1 Corinthians 11; Hebrew `lechem`, `eretz`, `adamah`, `pe'ah`, `shemittah`, `behemah`; Greek `artos`, `trapeza`, `klasis tou artou`, `eucharistia`.

What this adds to DDF:

Food connects creaturely dependence, ecological limits, labor, justice, animal care, famine warning, household life, hospitality, and worship.

Rival pressure:

Reject food-as-fuel, extraction agriculture, nature worship, consumer purity signaling, supply-chain invisibility, and anti-animal indifference.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Food, Agriculture, Supply Chains, Famine, Land Use, and Animal Flourishing}` and updated Claim 51 with food-security pillars, famine evidence, land/animal care, and table vocabulary.

### R10 Aging, Dementia, End-of-Life Care, Grief, Burial, Memory of the Dead

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- WHO healthy ageing: functional ability arises from intrinsic capacity, environment, and their interaction.
- WHO dementia: dementia is a major cause of disability and dependency among older persons and places heavy burdens on families and caregivers.
- Lancet Commission dementia prevention/intervention/care: life-course factors such as education, hearing/vision, cardiovascular health, depression, activity, social contact, and pollution shape vulnerability.
- WHO palliative care: physical, psychosocial, social, and spiritual suffering require early identification, assessment, treatment, team care, caregiver support, bereavement care, access to essential medicines, and dignity.
- Biblical control: Psalm 90; Ecclesiastes 12; Luke 2; John 11; 1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 21; Hebrew `zaqen`, `seivah`, `zakar`, `qabar`, `evel`; Greek `presbyteros`, `mnemeion`, `thanatos`, `penthos`, `anastasis`.

What this adds to DDF:

Aging and dementia make dependence and memory communal. DDF must ground dignity in divine address and communion, not cognition, autonomy, productivity, beauty, speed, or usefulness.

Rival pressure:

Reject productivity personhood, autonomy absolutism, anti-aging denial, death taboo, medical overtreatment that cannot name dying, and abandonment disguised as respecting choice.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Aging, Dementia, End-of-Life Care, Grief, Burial, and Memory of the Dead}` and updated Claim 52 with healthy ageing, dementia care, palliative care, grief, burial, and resurrection hope.

### R11 Cybersecurity, Surveillance, Privacy, Robotics, Automation, Labor Displacement, Platform Governance

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover; CSF 2.0 expands beyond critical infrastructure and treats cybersecurity as enterprise risk.
- NIST Privacy Framework: privacy risk management protects individuals while enabling products and services.
- OECD AI Principles: trustworthy AI, human rights, democratic values, accountability, traceability, risk management, and preparation for labor transformation.
- ILO generative-AI jobs work: near-term effects may skew toward augmentation rather than total automation, with uneven and gendered exposure, especially in clerical work.
- UNESCO digital-platform governance guidelines and EU DSA: freedom of expression, access to information, transparency, systemic-risk assessment, and researcher access are platform-governance controls.
- Biblical control: Exodus 20; Leviticus 19; Proverbs; Revelation 13; Hebrew `ed`, `sheqer`, `ganav`, `mishqal`, `sod`, `tselem`; Greek `martyria`, `pseudos`, `klepto`, `kryptos`/`apokalypto`, `eikon`, `charagma`.

What this adds to DDF:

Digital systems are not neutral tools. They route memory, attention, identity, risk, work, speech, and public truth. Governance is therefore protection of mediated agency.

Rival pressure:

Reject tech solutionism, surveillance paternalism, privacy nihilism, platform libertarianism, AI panic, automation determinism, engagement absolutism, data colonialism, and worker monitoring as neutral efficiency.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Cybersecurity, Surveillance, Privacy, Robotics, Automation, Labor Displacement, and Platform Governance}` and updated Claim 53 with cybersecurity/privacy life-cycle controls, platform-risk governance, labor transformation, and original-language witness/theft/image/mark vocabulary.

### B01 Torah Beyond Genesis: Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Exodus 19-24 and 32-34: covenant, law, idolatry, intercession, mercy, and renewed tablets.
- Leviticus 1-7, 16, and 17-26: sacrifice, atonement, priesthood, Day of Atonement, purity, holiness, sexual boundaries, land, Sabbath, and Jubilee.
- Numbers wilderness narratives: redeemed people can remain immature, fearful, nostalgic for slavery, and resistant to trust.
- Deuteronomy 5-6, 15-17, 24-26, and 30: covenant renewal, Shema, debt release, courts, kingship, stranger care, firstfruits, blessing/curse, and life/death choice.
- Scholarly controls: Bible Odyssey on Leviticus and Jubilee; Jacob Milgrom on Leviticus as ritual and ethics; Christopher J. H. Wright on Old Testament ethics across theological, social, and economic angles.
- Original-language control: Hebrew `berit`, `qodesh`, `tame`, `tahor`, `qorban`, `shabbat`, `deror`, `yovel`, `nachalah`, `mishpat`, `tsedaqah`.

What this adds to DDF:

Torah turns DDF from a general synthesis into an embodied covenantal order: truth becomes calendar, court, land tenure, debt release, labor limit, sexual boundary, food practice, priestly mediation, household teaching, and worship.

Rival pressure:

Reject Torah as obsolete moralism, Torah as timeless civil blueprint, purity as primitive hygiene, law as legalism, grace detached from obedience, and sentimental mercy detached from covenant boundaries.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Torah Beyond Genesis: Covenant, Holiness, Land, Sabbath, and Social Order}` and updated Claim 54 with Exodus-to-Deuteronomy structure, wilderness formation, Milgrom/Wright controls, and original-language anchors.

### B02 Temple and Priesthood

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Exodus 25-40: tabernacle, priestly consecration, altar, basin, holy place, veil, ark, and divine presence.
- Leviticus 1-17, especially Leviticus 16: offerings, blood, purity, Day of Atonement, sanctuary cleansing, and representative mediation.
- Hebrews 4-10: Christ as high priest, mediator, sacrifice, sanctuary access, and once-for-all offering.
- Scholarly and early reception controls: Bible Odyssey on Day of Atonement; Milgrom on sacrifice/impurity/sanctuary cleansing; Margaret Barker on temple theology; 1 Clement, Justin Martyr, and Irenaeus as early Christian witnesses to worship, offering, and Christological fulfillment.
- Original-language control: Hebrew `mishkan`, `miqdash`, `kohen`, `mizbeach`, `dam`, `kipper`, `parokhet`, `kapporet`, `qodesh haqqodashim`, `tamid`, `samakh`; Greek `hiereus`, `archiereus`, `mesites`, `thysia`, `hilasterion`, `proserchomai`, `ephapax`.

What this adds to DDF:

Temple/priesthood makes mediation thicker than interface language. Some barriers are holiness, guilt, impurity, death, danger, and lack of access; God provides cleansing and approach rather than pretending the barrier is not real.

Rival pressure:

Reject generic interface theology, access without cleansing, distance without mediation, anti-sacrifice embarrassment, magical ritualism, and sacrifice language used to sacralize abuse.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Temple, Priesthood, Sacrifice, Cleansing, and Sanctuary}` and updated Claim 55 with Day of Atonement, sanctuary cleansing, Hebrews, early reception, and original-language anchors.

### B03 Kingdom and Kingship

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Deuteronomy 17 and 1 Samuel 8: kingship is permitted under Torah but warned against as extraction, accumulation, and imitation of the nations.
- 2 Samuel 7, Psalm 2, Psalm 72, Psalm 110, Isaiah 9/11: Davidic promise, messianic hope, justice, protection of the poor, and righteous reign.
- 2 Samuel 11-12; 1 Kings 10-11; 1 Kings 21: David, Solomon, and Ahab show power failures through sexual abuse, accumulation, foreign alliance, forced labor, false testimony, and theft of inheritance.
- Daniel 2/7 and Revelation 13/18: empires become beastly when they demand worship, devour the saints, and organize commerce against God.
- Scholarly controls: Bible Odyssey on Israelite kingship; Richard Bauckham on Revelation and empire; N. T. Wright on kingdom of God.
- Original-language control: Hebrew `melek`, `mashiach`, `nagid`, `kisse`, `shevet`, `ra'ah`, `mishpat`, `tsedaqah`; Greek `basileia`, `Christos`, `kyrios`, `exousia`, `thronos`, `euangelion`.

What this adds to DDF:

Power is mediated vocation under judgment. Political authority is tested by Torah-shaped limits, justice, worship, protection of the weak, truth-telling, and refusal of idolatrous empire.

Rival pressure:

Reject divine-right absolutism, anti-political withdrawal, nationalism as kingdom, compassionate statism without limits, security as truth, revolutionary purity myths, and leader charisma as authority.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Kingdom, Kingship, Messiah, and Empire}` and updated Claim 56 with Deuteronomic kingship limits, false-mercy political extraction, failed kings, Jesus' kingdom, empire critique, and original-language anchors.

### B04 Exile and Return

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- 2 Kings 17/25, Jeremiah 29, Ezekiel 1-11 and 36-37: exile as judgment, dislocation, presence crisis, and hope for restored heart and land.
- Daniel 1-7 and Esther: faithful public life under empire, food, prayer, identity, danger, conscience, and refusal of idolatrous worship.
- Ezra-Nehemiah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi: return, rebuilding, opposition, debt/social injustice, Torah reading, confession, temple rebuilding, and unfinished restoration.
- Revelation 18: Babylon as final symbolic empire of commerce, idolatry, and judgment.
- Historical controls: Britannica on Babylonian Captivity/Persian return; Bible Odyssey on exile/return and Persian-period Yehud.
- Original-language control: Hebrew `galah`, `shuv`, `she'erit`, `Bavel`, `Tsiyyon`, `banah`, `chadash`, `zakar`; Greek `paroikia`, `diaspora`, `apokatastasis`, `Babylon`.

What this adds to DDF:

Exile/return shows that restoration requires more than location change. Memory, worship, debt, records, land, justice, leadership, public identity, repentance, and hope all need repair.

Rival pressure:

Reject exile as only punishment, return as simple restoration, nostalgia, purity politics, assimilation without witness, rebuilding without repentance, moving on without repair, and identity protection without mission.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Exile, Return, Rebuilding, and Compromise Under Empire}` and updated Claim 57 with Babylon/Persian context, Daniel/Esther public witness, Ezra-Nehemiah social repair, Revelation's Babylon, and original-language anchors.

### B05 Prophets

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Amos 5/8: hollow worship, Day of YHWH as darkness for presumptuous Israel, economic oppression, false measures, and exploitation of the poor.
- Hosea 4/6: idolatry as adultery, lack of knowledge, and `hesed` over sacrifice.
- Micah 3/6: corrupt leaders, prophets for hire, Zion built with blood, and justice/mercy/humble walking.
- Isaiah 1/58, Jeremiah 6/7, Ezekiel 13: false worship, unjust fasting, temple presumption, wounds healed lightly, and false peace.
- Habakkuk 1-3, Zechariah 7-8, Malachi 1-4: complaint, imperial violence, faithfulness, post-exilic justice, polluted offerings, marital treachery, and the coming day.
- Research controls: USCCB introduction to Amos; Britannica on Amos and prophetic social justice; Day of the LORD resources.
- Original-language control: Hebrew `navi`, `riv`, `mishpat`, `tsedaqah`, `hesed`, `shalom`, `yom YHWH`, `shuv`, `emunah`; Greek `prophetes`, `metanoia`, `krisis`, `hemera kyriou`.

What this adds to DDF:

The prophets make worship auditable. Ritual, doctrine, and national identity become false when they protect idolatry, economic oppression, false peace, sexual treachery, or corrupt authority.

Rival pressure:

Reject worship aestheticism, moralism without worship, activism without repentance, prosperity religion, false-peace institutionalism, national presumption, and prophetic rage as personal certainty.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Prophets: Justice, Idolatry, False Worship, Nations, and Day of the Lord}` and updated Claim 58 with prophetic books, Day of the LORD, false-peace critique, research anchors, and original-language controls.

### B06 Wisdom Literature

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Proverbs: patterned skill for life in a morally ordered but fallen world; wisdom sayings are not mechanical guarantees.
- Job: righteous suffering, failed counsel, and the danger of defending a tidy moral system against a sufferer's actual case.
- Ecclesiastes: `hebel` as vapor, brevity, frustration, and enigma under the sun; wisdom includes limits.
- Song of Songs: embodied desire, beauty, longing, and love as a powerful physical and psychological force under canonical sexual boundaries.
- Research controls: Bible Odyssey on Job and Song of Songs; USCCB introduction to Ecclesiastes; wisdom-literature scholarship.
- Original-language control: Hebrew `chokmah`, `yirat YHWH`, `hebel`, `mashal`, `musar`, `tevunah`, `da'at`, `etsah`, `tsaddiq`, `rasha`; Greek `sophia`, `synesis`, `paideia`, `phobos kyriou`.

What this adds to DDF:

Wisdom gives DDF non-reductive knowing: skill, pattern recognition, limit, lament, proverb, case judgment, erotic covenant, silence, and reverent fear.

Rival pressure:

Reject propositional reduction, anti-intellectual mysticism, prosperity wisdom, Job's-friends moral math, cynical skepticism, erotic suspicion, and desire absolutism.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Wisdom: Skill, Limit, Suffering, Desire, and Beauty}` and updated Claim 59 with Proverbs/Job/Ecclesiastes/Song structure, false-mercy counsel warnings, and original-language anchors.

### B07 Psalms

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Psalms 1-2, 6, 13, 22, 32, 51, 73, 88, 95-100, 119, 120-134, 137, 145-150: Torah, royal hope, lament, penitence, imprecation, pilgrimage, thanksgiving, and praise.

What this adds to DDF:

Psalms make affective life truth-bearing. Emotion is not noise below doctrine; lament, confession, rage, fear, gratitude, and joy must be prayed, sung, judged, and healed before God.

Rival pressure:

Reject emotional suppression, therapeutic expression without God, triumphalism, rage without judgment, worship as mood management, praise-only religion, and grief bypassing.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Psalms: Praise, Lament, Penitence, Imprecation, Pilgrimage, and Thanksgiving}` and updated Claim 60 with liturgical types, Athanasius, Brueggemann, imprecation/penitence/pilgrimage controls, and original-language anchors.

Research anchors:

- Matthew 5-7, Matthew 13, Mark 1-5, Luke 4, Luke 10, Luke 14-16, Luke 19, John 4.
- Sermon on the Mount: kingdom righteousness at the level of anger, lust, truth speech, enemy love, secrecy, money, anxiety, judgment, and obedience.
- Parables: kingdom diagnostics that relocate hearers inside God's reign.
- Healings/exorcisms/table fellowship: embodied restoration, liberation, scandalous mercy, repentance, and new community.
- Wealth warnings: Mammon as rival master and money as a reality-shaping allegiance.
- Research controls: Bible Odyssey on Sermon on the Mount and Matthew's `dikaiosyne`; N. T. Wright on parables and kingdom.
- Original-language control: Greek `basileia`, `euangelion`, `metanoia`, `parabole`, `therapeuo`, `iaomai`, `daimonion`, `aphesis`, `ptochos`, `plousios`, `mathetes`, `akoloutheo`, `splagchnizomai`.

What this adds to DDF:

Jesus' kingdom is enacted reality: bodies healed, demons expelled, tables reordered, debts forgiven, wealth judged, enemies loved, sinners called to repentance, and disciples formed.

Rival pressure:

Reject kingdom as only inward spirituality, only politics, only future heaven, table fellowship as affirmation without repentance, miracle embarrassment, wealth-neutral discipleship, and moral example without authority.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Jesus' Kingdom Teaching, Healings, Table Fellowship, Exorcisms, Wealth Warnings, and Reversal}` and updated Claim 61 with Sermon, parables, healings, table fellowship, wealth warnings, false-mercy controls, and original Greek anchors.

### B09 Acts and Mission

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- Acts 2: Pentecost as public multilingual witness, repentance, baptism, teaching, fellowship, shared goods, prayer, and praise.
- Acts 6-7, 8, 10-11, 13-15, 17, 20, 27: deaconal conflict, Stephen, Samaria/Ethiopian eunuch, Cornelius, Antioch, Jerusalem Council, Areopagus, elders, and shipwreck witness.

What this adds to DDF:

Acts gives DDF public discernment: Spirit-led witness, Scripture, testimony, debate, burden-sensitive letters, persecution, cross-cultural inclusion, and public reasoning before outsiders.

Rival pressure:

Reject mission as colonial expansion, Church as private club, council as bureaucracy, Spirit as disorderly spontaneity, public reasoning as compromise, inclusion without holiness, and holiness without mission.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Acts and Mission: Spirit, Witness, Gentiles, Persecution, Councils, and Public Reasoning}` and updated Claim 62 with Pentecost, Gentile inclusion, Jerusalem Council, Areopagus, burden-sensitive discernment, and Greek anchors.

What this adds to DDF:

Paul gives DDF salvation architecture: forensic verdict, union, adoption, Spirit-enabled holiness, ethical transformation, and new creation belong together.

Rival pressure:

Reject moralism, legalism, antinomianism, therapeutic salvation, identity badge salvation, de-participated forensic-only accounts, de-forensic participation-only accounts, grace as permissiveness, and sanctification as self-optimization.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Pauline Soteriology: Justification, Adoption, Election, Union, Sanctification, Law, Flesh, and Spirit}` and updated Claim 63 with Pauline vocabulary, justification debates, union/adoption, flesh/Spirit, and new creation.

What this adds to DDF:

The Spirit is not a vague alignment field, signal, energy, or mood. The Spirit personally unites believers to Christ, forms holiness, distributes gifts, comforts sufferers, empowers witness, seals inheritance, and guarantees new creation.

Rival pressure:

Reject Spirit as impersonal force, private intuition detached from Scripture, power without character, gifts without love, institutional authorization without holiness, and guidance above communal testing.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Pneumatology: The Spirit as Divine Person, Sanctifier, Gift-Giver, Comforter, Mission Power, and Pledge}` and updated Claim 64 with Trinitarian, original-language, gift, fruit, comfort, mission, and new-creation controls.

Apocalyptic is unveiled realism for captured systems. It names what empire, civic religion, propaganda, coercive markets, false peace, and persecution look like before God's throne.

Rival pressure:

Reject date-setting, newspaper-code speculation, anti-political quietism, violent millenarianism, empire accommodation, cynical political reduction, contempt for creation, and despair.

Integration:

### R04 Education, Schools, Pedagogy, Childhood Development, Apprenticeship, Literacy, Universities

Status: verified by `xelatex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -output-directory=/tmp ddf.tex`.

Research anchors:

- UNESCO education: education as human right and lifelong process for peace, poverty reduction, sustainable development, knowledge, skills, and values.
- UNICEF early childhood development: early experiences, nutrition, protection, responsive caregiving, play, and language shape brain development and later learning.
- World Bank WDR 2018: schooling without learning is a justice failure; systems must measure learning and align actors around learners.
- OECD/PISA: learning measurement pressures education claims to ask whether students can use reading, math, and science in real tasks, while not reducing formation to scores.
- Biblical control: Deut 6; Proverbs; Psalms; Luke 2; Matt 5-7; 2 Tim 3; Hebrew `lamad`, `shanan`, `musar`, `binah`; Greek `didasko`, `mathetes`, `paideia`.

What this adds to DDF:

Education is not information transfer. It is a whole formation loop where bodies, language, habits, teachers, families, institutions, tools, measurement, and imitation form judgment and agency.

Rival pressure:

Reject credentialism, ideological capture, data-only schooling, entertainment learning, anti-intellectualism, and purely economic human-capital reduction.

Integration:

Expanded `books/divine-design-framework/main.tex` under `\subsection{Education, Childhood, Apprenticeship, Literacy, and Universities}` with early-childhood formation, learning-crisis justice, apprenticeship, university truth practices, and Hebrew/Greek education terms.
